OSMed offers several onsite and in-clinic services focused on promoting and maintaining a healthy and productive workforce. With multiple clinic locations and medical staff throughout the continental US, OSMed can help its clients protect the welfare of its people and its ongoing operations.

Available Employee Welfare Services

Health Screenings and Physicals
OSMed helps employers understand potential health risks associated with hiring new talent. Many occupations require those executing the work be fit for the tasks assigned and a maintenance of their health in order to reach their highest potential. The following are the various screening and physicals offered:

Pre-employment and annual

Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) / Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) fit for duty

United States Coast Guard (USCG)

Commercial Drivers License (CDL) /Department of Transportation (DOT)

Drug and Alcohol Testing
For preemployment screenings, post-accident, periodic or random testing, OSMed provides onsite as well as in clinic drug testing. In addition, OSMed can assist with procuring drug and alcohol testing supplies and training on proper usage of the testing supplies for in house HSE personnel.
Medical Review Officer (MRO) Services
OSMed can evaluate laboratory and medical results in order to give employers feedback in regards to employee health and well being after an incident, illness, substance abuse or other medically related issue.

With its own in-house CAP Accredited lab, OSMed can perform a number of tests for diagnostic and wellness purposes that may be required for based on an employees travel requirements or mission.

Onsite Medical Staffing
Under the direct supervision of OSMed’s Medical Director, we can provide medics or mid-level practitioners to clients that require a 24/7 medical presence on their vessel or other remote location.

All vessel-based medical resources are trained in Basic Seafarer Services and Sea Survival

COVID-19 Vaccinations
OSMed has been approved and is enrolled in the CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Program. In conjunction with other COVID-19 prescribed OSMed protocols, we can further our clients’ abilities to minimize downtime caused by COVID-19 related disruptions through providing COVID vaccinations at a location designated by the client.
Health Risk Assessments
This is an educational and informative service provided via surveys that are filled out by the employee that can assist them in recognizing their health risks. Companies can then utilize the data without personal identifiers to identify and help reduce the risk to their workforce.
